1. Product Overview

Zhongci CMS-220 is a premium-grade carbon molecular sieve (CMS) engineered for Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) nitrogen generation systems. 3. Working Principle

CMS-220 leverages kinetic separation:

  1. Adsorption Phase: Compressed air enters the PSA tower. Oxygen molecules (smaller kinetic diameter: ~3.46 Å) diffuse into the 4 Å pores faster than nitrogen (~3.64 Å), becoming trapped.
  2. Desorption Phase: Pressure reduction releases adsorbed O₂, regenerating the sieve.
  3. Output: Enriched nitrogen gas (>99.99% purity) exits the system.

CMS-220 is critical in sectors requiring inert atmospheres:

  • Petrochemicals: Prevents oxidation during storage and processing.
  • Metal Heat Treatment: Eliminates surface oxidation in annealing/furnace processes.
