Carbon molecular sieve filling needs to be analyzed and planned according to the
technical documents and process requirements of the demand side, and specific
replacement filling plans and related precautions should formulate.

The general process of carbon molecular sieve filling is as follows:
1、 Before replacing the carbon molecular sieve, a comprehensive maintenance and
inspection of the equipment should carry out.
All valve components and pipelines need to be inspected.
2. Equipment inspection
2.1 Instrument inspection
Check all pressure display PI and temperature display TI instruments; Adjust the
threshold value of pressure switch and differential pressure switch, as well as the
threshold value of tool temperature interlock;
Check the limit switches, limit points and electrical contact points of all valves related
to the molecular sieve adsorbent.
Check if all two valves are working reliably, and if necessary, adjust the cylinder.
Check if the direction of all automatic valve components is correct.
2.2 Inspection of Automatic Control System for Pr-Purifier
Check the configuration of the automatic control program;
Step by step check the direction of the solenoid valve used for pr-purifier valve
control according to the program (check the electromagnetic polarity related to the
valve);
Check if all action signals from the site have been connected to the automatic control
system: Stepping conditions caused by pressure switches, differential pressure
switches, and temperature thresholds value,
Confirm the valve switch position determined by the limit switch; Adjust the timer.
2.3 Adjusting the control circuit:
Regenerated air flow into the heater flow circuit; Regenerative airflow cold box outlet
pressure.
2.4 Operation of regeneration heater
Check the combination and transformation of each heating unit: fixed power –
variable power; Adjust the control of heating temperature and adjust the safety
temperature control threshold; Check the tripping conditions of the electric heater
3. Replace the carbon molecular sieve step.
3.1. Calculate the specific filling quantity, then prepare the required materials and
tools, based on the volume of the adsorption tower.
3.2. Before opening the flange cover of the adsorption tower, make corresponding
marks, and during installation, ensure that it is properly seated, especially the
connection between the pipeline and the front control components.
3.3. After opening the flange cover, pay attention to the intact condition of the
original equipment’s filter pad, baffle, and filter screen. If any damage, it
should be replaced and treated in a timely manner.
3.4. Release and clean off the used carbon molecular sieve inside the adsorption tower,
and check the condition of the filter screen on the baffle at the bottom of the
adsorption tower. To prevent accidents, 3-4 layers of stainless steel wire mesh should
lay on top of the baffle, and the size of the mesh should be based on the diameter
of the adsorption tower.
