5A oxygen producing molecular sieve filling

Installation matters for 5A molecular sieve

  1. Oxygen concentrator equipment type: VPSA
  2. Installation location/time: Suzhou, Jiangsu, May 9, 2021
  3. Tower diameter (inside): 2.68m Height: 6.5m
  4. Loading capacity:

(1) A total of 16 tons of 5A oxygen producing molecular sieve, 7 tons/tower

(2) 3.5 tons of activated alumina, 1 ton/tower

  1. Customer’s main technical performance requirements:

Oxygen flow rate 350Nm ³/Hr, oxygen concentration ≥ 93% ± 2%

After installing Zhongci oxygen producing molecular sieve, the flow rate is 340-380Nm ³/Hr, and the oxygen concentration is 95.6%

Requirements for selecting mesh and cotton fabric:

(1) Requirements for 304 stainless steel wire mesh: tower diameter (mm) X 4 (4 pieces in total, 2 pieces)

A tower, 2 pieces per tower, 1 piece on the upper level and 1 piece on the lower level)

(2) Requirements for cotton cloth: Tower diameter (mm) X 4 (4 pieces in total, 2 towers),

Each tower has 2 pieces, one on the upper layer and one on the lower layer

Note: If the diameter mesh sieve not purchased, there is no harm to the cotton cloth. The tower diameter (mm) required

VPSA oxygen concentrator process

The VPSA oxygen production system mainly consists of a blower, a vacuum pump, a switching valve, an adsorber, and an oxygen balance tank (oxygen compressor, gas storage tank).

VPSA is vacuum desorption:

(1) Vacuum pressure swing adsorption (VPSA) oxygen production equipment, which uses specialized molecular screening to selectively adsorb nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and water in the air under atmospheric pressure conditions, and desorbs the molecular sieve under vacuum conditions,

Thus, high-purity oxygen (90-95.6%) produced through circulation. VPSA has lower energy consumption, and the larger the equipment, the lower its energy consumption. The air enters the blower through the filter and transported by the blower from the lower part of the adsorption tower. The lower part of the adsorption tower filled with activated alumina,

The function of activated alumina

The function of activated alumina is to remove moisture, carbon dioxide, and small amounts of other gases from the air to prevent poisoning of zeolite molecular sieves. The upper part of the adsorption tower is zeolite molecular sieve. When air flows through the filled molecular sieve fixed bed, the oxygen molecular sieve in the air

Under the adsorption force, oxygen molecules diffuse into the molecular sieve solid and pass through the bed to the buffer tank. The buffer tank connected to the oxygen compressor to compress the product to the pressure required by the user and send it to the storage tank for production use. After a period of adsorption,

The function of The molecular sieve particles

The molecular sieve particles filled with nitrogen molecules and reach the adsorption saturation stage. At this time, the air inlet valve closed, and the oxygen rich air in the tower used to flush the newly evacuated tower. After the pressure drops, the pressure equalization valve closed, and the vacuum pump inlet valve opened to the tower body

Vacuumize, and after reaching a certain degree of vacuum, use some oxygen in the buffer tank of the oxygen rich gas machine in another tower to flush the molecular sieve, thereby completely desorbing the adsorbent.

Each adsorber of VPSA alternately performs the following steps: adsorption ->vacuum desorption ->stamping

(2) Difference between PSA and VPSA

The pressure of PSA oxygen generator is generally 0.5-0.8MPa, and the VPSA adsorption pressure is 0.05MPA, which is less than 1/10 of PSA oxygen generator. The most important thing is that VPSA has lower energy consumption, is more environmentally friendly, and green.
